WE GOT OUR CIS APPROVAL TODAY!!!

AUGHHHHHHHHHHHH! We are so excited that our 797 (the paper from Atlanta) came in the mail today!!! We screamed, fell to our knees, praised God, screamed some more, and then Clay shouted, "It feels like we just won American Idol!" Oh so much better than that, little Clay!!!
So this afternoon we have been finishing up paperwork with Karla, have gone to the Jefferson AND St. Clair county courthouses to get our documents county certified, and tomorrow we head to Montgomery to get our documents STATE certified! After that, our documents go to Houston to be authenticated and then they will send them all back and Hi Ho, Hi Ho, it's off to China they'll go!
PRAISE THE LORD WITH US! RISE AND SHINE AND GIVE GOD THE GLORY GLORY!

That's fantastic! Getting the paperwork "out of your hands" and off to China feels so good, doesn't it?

So--is the rest of your dossier already authenticated? If so, don't forget to include another photocopy of your passports when you submit the CIS approval to the consulate. That delayed us by a few days.

I am so happy for you.

Laine,

I was just reading the info Lifeline has posted on Kimmie. I had never read it before. How wonderful for her that she has a foster father who is very involved with her. She already has the concept of a father. She is very blessed. You are very blessed.

Olivia was very afraid of men at first when we brought her home. The only man she had ever seen was the director of the orphanage--and I don't know how much she even saw him.

I'm praying for your paperwork to sprout wings!
