A Brother and Sister Who Were Meant To Be!

We have been praying for God to orchestrate play-dates between Kimmie and Quan, so maybe they would get to know one another well and be able to comfort each other when we bring them into our family. He has answered this prayer in an unbelievable way! Last night Karla called with amazing news. Kimmie and Quan's foster mothers are sisters! They live close to one another and the children play together often!!!!! They are virtually cousins already, and about to be brother and sister forever. I stand in awe of God's plan for these children! And I am so grateful that He has allowed us to be a part of it! Like Karla said, from the beginning of time God ordained these sisters to take care of Kimmie and Quan for our family. This is doubly amazing because of how rare it is to find 2 sisters in China these days. Usually families consist of one child or a brother and sister.
Eph. 3:20..."Now to him who is able to do immeasurable more than all we ask or imagine.."
This morning here is what my Bible reading "happened" to be:
Isaiah 49:1 "Before I was born the Lord called me; from my birth he has made mention of my name."
Isaiah 49:15 "Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne? Though she may forget, I will not forget you! See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands; your walls are ever before me."
Isaiah 49:22,23 "..they will bring your sons in their arms and carry your daughters on their shoulders. Kings will be your foster fathers, and their queens your nursing mothers...Then you will know that I am the Lord; those who hope in me will not be disappointed."

Oh God I am so amazed.

Jill Howard was telling us the tooth fairy story over lunch at Louis' in Pelham recently. I found your blog after I finally started spelling your last name correctly! I've been praying for you guys ever since I heard y'all were considering international adoption (I think Anna Grace told me first!). I have such a heart for this and I cried when I heard about the tooth fairy as well as when I found your blog tonight. I purchased a "Shaoey and Dot" book off the clearance rack on a whim about 18 months ago and have been interested in this ever since. Just wanted you to know that I'm praying for your family. Sometimes, I'd love to talk to you personally about your journey.

I sit with chills running rapidly through my whole body and tears welling in my eyes, lump in my throat (whole nine yards). In my dry time of spirituality I read this blog (and several others) and see just how REAL God is. Faithful, worthy of Praise, & Honor...the fact that he not only hears the prayers of your family (and all the other people praying) He answers them, personally, sometimes small things to Him (big to us), He answers them! Surely your total dependence on God has lead you to such favor. You are a light...All you Ferrills are! And, I know how humble you are and you are just as amazed at God as I am!! Much Love, Pg

"Undescibale, Awesome we bow to our knees and we humbly proclaim YOU ARE AMAZING GOD!"
