Celebrating PA in Gatlinburg Part Two

The Rockettes are goofin' off on Saturday. That one on the far left is totally about to fall off the cliff!
Our "prizes" or better known as "stud-muffins"! We love our husbands!!! And yes, we did have some Bible study during this retreat! Pastor did a great job teaching us how to raise godly children and how to fight fair. Straight from God's Word...you can't get any more close to the Truth than that!
LOOK WHAT WE WOKE UP TO SUNDAY MORNING!!! So beautiful! Thank you Lord for this treat! What a present He gave us all!

Can you see the snow coming down? It was so peaceful! (And cold!) My favorite part of the trip was our drive up on Friday. It was just the two of us and we talked the WHOLE way! We had so much fun cracking jokes and talking about serious stuff. We made about 150 stops wherever we wanted. My least favorite part of the trip was that our family was in 3 different places. Rob and I in TN; Katie Lyn, Colby, Clay, and Carlie in B'ham, and Kimmie and Quan in China. God is so faithful to extend His hedge of protection to all three of those places and keep us all safe.

Tradition is to finish our retreat at the Apple Barn! Another great marriage retreat and awesome time with God, each other and our friends!

Tomorrow Kimmie and Quan's care package will begin its long awaited trip to China! Here are the things we are sending them. We decided the theme of their package is "I'm all ready for beddy-bye". They each will receive a bear that has my and Rob's voice recorded on it saying "Mommy loves you and Daddy loves you!". They can snuggle up to it at night and cover up with their blankets Nanny Nell made for them. They can wear their new Strawberry Shortcake and Pooh pajamas while looking (hopefully with love) at pictures of their new family. And of course there is candy for a nutritious bedtime snack! We will all hug the bears one last time before we pack them up, and hopefully that hug will last until they receive the REAL ones from all of us!!!!!

It looks like you all had a great time in TN. It looks like you put alot of thought into your care package. What a wonderful idea of the bears having your voices recorded for them to hear you.

SNOW!!! How neat! Looks like a VERY fun trip!

Praying for that box to arrive in China!! The boys and I prayed around Katie Lin's box....it was such a sweet time before taking it to Mailboxes Etc. Then the next day SURPRISE there it was on my front porch! I told the boys I bet we mailed it a day too early so we prayed again and reshipped!!!
IT DID find Katie Lin and we got wonderful pictures from her foster mother.
