Whoooopeeeeeeeeee for LIDDDDDDDDDD!!!

Praise the Lord! We received news from Karla today that China logged us in the system on March 22, 2007! This is our LID (Log-In-Date) from which we will countdown to telling right now how long it will be.
Soooooo, while I wait I am giving up things and adding things to live a more disciplined life. On Feb. 12th I gave up chocolate (NOT liquid chocolate...I LOVE my hot chocolate in the mornings!) Feb. 26th I gave up ALL sweets (except Blow Pops because I mean that's not really a sweet.)
March 5th I gave up carbonated beverages. That's been the hardest so far.
And now this week I've added exercise back into my routine. In November when I got pneumonia I stopped exercising and pretty much never started back. Why is it that it takes 6 months to a year to get in shape, but only a few weeks to get flabby again? Anyway, other than not being able to walk up and down stairs because of my sore thighs, I feel pretty good!
What's next? Well, it would take a LOT of discipline NOT to go to Wal-mart and shop at the little grocery stores instead. I mean think of all the sale ad shopping and coupon clipping I would need to do...I think that's going to be next. I said I THINK.
Have I mentioned when I get to China I'm going to have a big ol' Pepsi and some M&M's and I'll probably get them in Walmart! :)
Anyway, whoooppeeeeeeeee for LID! Praise God with me! We're getting closer, Kimmie and Quan-boy!

Wow! Congratulations!!!!!! I know how happy you are!

That's neat to read about all you are giving's really nothing at all compared to God's sacrifice, isn't it? Caffeine......there's something I'd have a hard time without.

Maybe I'll give up housework instead. haha

Sherri you are hysterical! I like the idea of giving up housework. And yes, at Easter time I am reminded even more of God's sacrifice. I love this time of year.
praying for you, friend!

I love hearing how AWESOME God is!! I love hearing how His hand is so in the middle of your growing family! I love hearing how much closer we are to getting Kimmie and Quan!!!!!!!!!!!!

OK, enough about what I love hearing. What I will not love hearing is your request to have all your friends join you in giving up chocolate, carbonated drinks and sweets. Don't even mention starting to exercise! Now if you listen to Sherri and give up housework, give me a call!

Love you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I still say this would be a great Mother's Day present, if not Mother's Day, then Father's Day. Heck, talk about giving things up, I gave up housework a LONG time ago. I find there are better things in life than cleaning house, like making suckers with my favorite children, and of course their mother, too. Monday nights are getting lonely. It won't be long now. Can't wait to have OUR babies home in our arms. They will have so much love around them, they are going to be amazed. You know how much I love you all. ETHEL
