News on No News

Hello friends! I've had several people inquire about if there's any news on our LOA. So here's the news: no news yet! We are on day 71 of our wait. Average wait is 90 days, but it's been known to fluctuate greatly. As few as 63 to as many as over 130 days. I cannot express enough how much it means to have all of you praying for Kimmie and Quan. When I read the sweet comments I just tear up with gratitude. Please feel my grateful heart to you all! Some of you I have never met, some I talk with everyday...but I love you all just the same!
At the beginning of this process, I told myself that I would not be a "day-counter." I did not want to get all wrapped up in counting the days since our LID. WHATEVER! Who do I think I am, Super-Adoptive Mom? :)
I find myself wondering what Kimmie and Quan look like now...it's been 5 mos. since we've had updated pictures. I would love to know their measurements too. I wonder if Kimmie's hair is shaved and if Quan still has that fever blister. I wonder if they will know how to wrap their legs around us when we hold them. I wonder if they will be speaking fluent Mandarin to each other (as fluent as 2-year olds can!) I wonder what their laugh sounds like. I wonder what Kimmie can actually do with her little hands. I wonder how big Quan's hole in his palate actually is. I wonder what the texture of their hair will be. Will they like bathtime? Will they even like US one little bit? I wonder when we will receive our LOA.
"But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness." 2 Peter 3:8,9
Isn't God so wonderful and merciful? So, while we wonder and wait, we work work work! Life doesn't stop just so we can wait on our LOA...there's swimming and VBS and baby showers and sleeping late and nesting and reading and birthday parties and soccer and LOTS OF PRAYING to be done! Hi-Ho, Hi-Ho! It's off to life we go!
Maybe I'll have an LOA update soon, but if not, you can be sure I'll post about life in general! (By the way, the pics above are the first ones we saw of our babies--aren't they SO sweet?)
Keep those prayers comin'! Love you all.

Laine,
How precious! I love your attitude! We're probably going to have to adopt it soon. Life must go on...who knows when those LOA's will come. I hope yours doesn't go as long as ours. I'm sure it won't since you logged in as special needs! We're praying for you. Thanks for your encouraging words on our blog too!

On the shaved head thing.......we were told that kids in foster care don't usually have shaved heads. Mia didn't have a shaved head, and Olivia did. Olivia was in an orphanage.

Bring those hair bows with you!!!!!

Laine and Rob, what precious babies. We know just how you feel with all of the questions you have and the counting of days. All we can do is patient, which is REALLY hard to do on a daily basis. Your angels will be home soon. You're in prayers continuously!
Love,
The Blaszczynskis

I love those photos. They have such precious little faces. I hope the wait isn't much longer for you. I was watching a show on the cooking channel the other day and there was a little girl that had arms like your little Kimmie. I automatically thought of her and your family. I bet she can do alot of things that you wouldn't imagine she could do. There is a little boy in one of my gymnastics classes that is missing a hand and it amazing to just watch how he adapts. Hopefully she will have alot of hair for hairbows.
