Forgiving

I give him shots in his belly twice a day. I give him four different kinds of yucky medicine four times a day. He screams, writhes, moans, kicks, hits. He looks like a pitiful little pin cushion.

And still at the end of the day...

he reaches up his arms for me to hold him.

God in His infinite mercy and love continues to amaze me everyday!

I'm humbled by the forgiving love of children. May I be so forgiving of others...
I'll be praying for you for strength to be able to administer those shots and dose out that yucky medicine.

Oh Laine...I know this is hard. Yucky medicine is bad enough but shots in the belly is just too much. I can't remember how long you said he might have to take the shots but I'm praying it's not for too many more weeks. One day at a time, God will give you the strength one day at a time.

You've probably already thought of this, but I'll say it anyways just in case. When we had give YouYou medicine 3 times a day it was especially helpful to set an alarm on my phone so that I could remember...I just always seemed to forget that middle of the day one if I didn't have a reminder. It also made things quicker if I put all the medicine for the whole day in their little syringes so that I didn't have to get them in and out of the fridge over and over throughout the day. I needed a lot of syringes at first...but gradually as we had checkups Dr. Romp would reduce things here and there. It was always something to celebrate!

Love you bunches and please know that you are still in our prayers.

I just came back to your blog after a long absence. I wasn't on your private blog. I haven't had a chance to read more than a few posts, but I want you to know that
I am going to keep Kevin in our prayers and hope for a speedy recovery for him.
I am a bio Mom of 5 and an adopotive Mom of 3. I am also a grandma. If you go private again, please give me an invite. I am so interested in the progress of your wonderful family. I remember the story of Kimmie and Quan so well and am anxious to catch up on their news too.
Good luck with everything.

I know it has to be hard, but praise God that you're able to be home instead of in "prison"! Our papers go in Monday with an introductory call with Gladney on Tuesday!

A child's love is unconditional. In his heart, he knows that you are only doing this for his benefit and he loves you for it. It is not easy to have to give shots or yucky medicine to your children, but you are so strong, God will give you all that you need to see this thru. We love you and continue to pray for all good things to come.

We too have a New Day heart baby! Our Lillian came home 08. She is amazing! Open heart in China-- mini surgeries once home! I thought she'd never LOVE me! She is my precious lovie and I can't imagine life without her. No ouchies any longer for us only meds. I pray soon, God speed soon, your little Kevin will be on the healing end. My prayers are with you and your crew of 8. Mommy to 1 sick baby is hard enough-- Mommy to 1 sick and 7 anxiously waiting for you to meet their needs EVEN harder! I pray God brings healing to Kevin and calm to you and your family.
Love-
Heather

Praise God for His AMAZING grace! Our Pastor has been teaching quite a bit about that lately. It's something we say kind of lightly...but it really is SO powerful! He loves us all so much, it's really hard to fathom.

My heart breaks that you have to do this, but I'm so thankful that Kevin knows you still love him so! Still pray'in for you all. In fact, I'm writing ya'all down on my new prayer list that I started tonight. (I'm not even from the south...but I like that word "ya'all!") ;o)

God bless you sweet friend. And THANK YOU for your generosity in supporting our fund. You are truly a blessing to me in so many ways! <><

Love & Hugs,
~ Tanya
