Sunday Morning Update

We had a good night, he slept quite a bit, thank you Jesus! No fever today. Laine got to see the other kids in the musical this morning... YAY! Many thanks to you faithful prayer warriors and our merciful Father.

I was very hopeful we were on the path to discharge today... HOWEVER, Doc came by to do an ultrasound to check out the fluid build-up around his heart (called a pericardial effusion) and it's still there. We hoped it was gone because the fluid had stopped draining. Turns out that the drain is clogged. So they're going to try and flush it and also treat the effusion with the next level of treatment (steroids).

As you can imagine, the Kevinator is not happy about his new temporary living quarters. We'd all rather be at home. But we know that God is sovereign and we are where we need to be at this time. I don't doubt for a minute that you all pray continuously for us and Kevin. I only write the details so you guys know how to pray specifically.

Right now, pray for Kevin to accepting of the care givers that are trying to help him. He's not a very good patient to be honest. Also, pray that this effusion dissipates and goes away. Thank you guys for standing with us.

Happy to hear the fever is gone and that you at least know what you're dealing with at the moment. It's good to know how to pray for all of you.

I don't think I would be a good patient either:(

Brave little soldier, we are all praying for you.

So happy Mommy was able to see the other children this morning for their presentation!
Love to all of you,
Kim

All,

We are praying, and will be praying specifically that the fluid drains, and is no longer a problem, and that Kevin will be a good little patient.
How hard it is on the little ones!
We're praying for TA on Friday, so that we can get Adahlyn home THIS month! Will you please pray for us?
Blessings and love,
Alycia and family
