Tues Morn

Hey friends, the fluid around Kevin's heart still seems to be increasing so they are going to go back in and drain it this morning in the cath lab. Please pray that this goes smoothly and is effective in clearing up his issues.

Here is a precious word that Roger, Rob's friend and co-worker gave to us:

Those people and things which are completely broken are most used by God for His glory. The sacrifices He accepts are broken and contrite hearts. "The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise" Ps. 51:17
It was when Jesus took the five loaves and broke them, that the food was mulitiplied for in the very act of breaking, became sufficient to feed five thousand. It is when a beautiful grain of corn is broken up in the earth by death, that its inner heart sprouts forth and bears hundreds of other grains. It was when Mary broke her alabaster box, rendering it hence forth useless, that the pent-up perfume filled the whole house. It was when Jesus allowed his precious body to be broken to pieces by thorns and nails and a spear, that His inner life was poured out, like a crystal ocean for thirsty sinners to drink of and live.
Thus in all fields of human history and endeavor and throughout the natural and spiritual worlds, God must have broken things.
Those who are broken in wealth, broken in their ambitions, broken in their beautiful ideas, broken in worldly reputation, broken in their affections, and broken oft-times in health, those who are despised, and seem utterly helpless and forlorn, the Holy Ghost is seizing upon, and using for God's glory. God is waiting to take hold of our failures and nothingness and shine through them.
"Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong" 2 Cor. 12:10 As we lean on the strength of our Savior, Jesus Christ, we can begin to mend and become strong and whole again.

The above devotion was on a gospel tract and it ministered to us so much! May it minister to you wherever you are! We love you all so much! And just the fact that I was able to type that WHOLE devotion while holding Kevin who wants to drink and eat so badly but can't until after his procedure....well that is GOD ALMIGHTY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We too are praying for you guys today.

That devotional is so good. I remember being widowed 11 years ago tomorrow..I was so very broken, and so very excited to be used of the Lord even though it hurt so badly. I can only imagine how the Lord is working in your hearts and lives through Kevin. It is so obvious the Lord is ministering to you and keeping watch over your family. Keep looking to Him...just as you already are. ((hugs))
