Maria and Kevin reunited!

What a special day we had on Saturday! Maria and Kevin, old roommates and best friends from New Day, were reunited for the first time since they left China! It brought tears to all of our eyes to see these two back together again!

We were so blessed that Maria's family, Forrest, Robin, Maria and her two sisters, Shiyan and Laura, came for the afternoon!

Forrest making fast friends with Kevin by letting him use his Flip video! :)

Kevin and Maria were shy with each other at first, but as soon as Kevin escorted Maria to the train track, the rest is history. They played and played and played. Then they moved upstairs to stroll around together.

They ate lunch side by side and Maria immediately fell right back into her role of Kevin's 'little mama' as she made sure he had his napkin and everything he needed! (I know she did this at New Day as well! So sweet!)

Side by side at the New Day Healing Home lunch table in Beijing.

Side by Side at a lunch table in Alabama!

After that they took turns passing out Hershey kisses to everyone in the house. Over and over. :) And some for themselves too!

These kisses are the best ever! :)

Thank you Collier family for coming to see us! And thank you Lord for the connection YOU formed between our two families. Only the Lord could have planned for Maria and Kevin to be at New Day together. He knew Maria's family would be only one state away from Kevin's family. He knew! From China to the Southeastern United States....He is the God over all and NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE FOR HIM!!!!!! Nothing is too big! How could we ever try to put our Father in a box, when we see Him ordain circumstances like these? May our faith this Christmas be broadened to see our Savior as Almighty God, Lord of all...capable of moving mountains and parting oceans! To Him be the glory forever!

SO SWEET to see them together again!!! I love all the pictures of Kevin & Maria's precious reunion!

My heart sank about a million feet when I learned that Mya's foster brother & best friend at New Day moved to Denmark. I had PRAYED SO HARD for Ohio. Or somewhere fabulous to visit (& close!) - but God knows what He is doing!! Maybe one day we will be traveling to Denmark :-)

Oh, I know! How amazing our God is in creating not just immediate families, but 'extended China families' bonded together by ties our children share as well. I have example after example of that in our adoptions...
I know that time together was so sweet!
And it made me miss you guys all the more!
