Before I begin, I want to share a devotion from a Billy Graham daily calendar we have--
Proverbs 11:30 "He who wins souls is wise"
People may seek to quench the thirst of their souls in a hundred other ways, but we must keep crying out, "Ho, everyone who thirsts, come to the waters" (Isaiah 55:1). Sometimes they can't come, and we have to carry it to them. We must persevere. We must never give up. Christ never gave up, but "became obedient to the point of death" (Phil 2:8). All around you are people who hunger and thirst for God, although they may not ever realize it. Will you point them to Christ, who alone can satisfy their deepest longings?
I praise God because of the work that the mission team is doing in Nicaragua this week! AND for the work that missionaries are doing all over the world!!!! And right here in our neck of the woods, there are people ministering to tornado victims. And my goodness, we can witness in our day to day life! The drive-thru! The grocery store! Our neighbors! God forgive me for forgetting that I am to be about your business every second of my life...because it is not MY life--it's HIS!
(stepping off my box now...)
Thank yall so much for praying for the team! I got to skype with Katie Lyn and Rob at lunch time today and they are glowing....seriously, even through the computer you could sense the joy of the Holy Spirit! I know they are exhausted too...they must be....but the joy is so evident in their faces, and Eric's face (he looks good, Rebekah!), and Cliff's face (he did the rooster for us, Achsha!), and Hannah's face (she was painting a cross during our skype call!)....they all just shine. They are doing the Lord's work! Praise God! Let's keep praying!
The men went into the prison this morning where Eric preached and all of them responded in amazing ways!!!!! Hallelujah! GLORY! How can we keep from crying over salvation? It's like I heard a man say one time, "When the Holy Spirit grips your heart, tears come out!" :)
Here is an excerpt from Rob's email yesterday...
"We're great honey! KK and Hannah went witnessing with us today and I actually prayed with someone for the first time to receive Christ." GLORY!
It's like Billy Graham said "Sometimes they can't come, and we have to carry it to them."
WHO can we carry it to today?
I love yall! Thank you for praying!
(we are doing great here and enjoying having mom here....don't tell her but we are hiding her keys so she can never leave....MWAH HA HA HA HA HA)
